UNCERTAINTY AND SEA-LEVEL RISE — IMPACTS ON LAND USE IN HAMPTON ROADS

Future of Hampton Roads, Inc. and the Urban Land Institute organized jointly with MARI a presentation and panel focusing on sea level rise and the urban coasts. The ULI Hampton Roads held a lunch discussion where Dr. Hans-Peter Plag explained the consequences of the emerging threats associated with climate change and sea level rise for land use. He explored questions such as, how do we organize and construct the built environment, and in particular the urban coast?
